digital marketingRoughly half of people say that a website’s design is one of the major ways they determine the credibility of a company. If a business has a confusing, unfriendly, or poorly designed contact page, doesn’t that say something about their credibility as a company? Now allowing or encouraging customers to easily contact them implies that the company doesn’t care and doesn’t want to hear from consumers. If you care about your customers’ experience and want them to come back to you time and time again, you need a website that facilitates lead generation and conversion. You need a contact page that screams “We want to hear from you!” Strong web design is one way to achieve that; it is an essential part of a good digital marketing strategy. What Should a Good Contact Page Have?

    1. Easy navigation Hiding your contact page will do you no favors. Have a link to your contact information at the top of your homepage and make it easy to spot. A navigation bar is a good place to put a link under the title “Contact Us,” don’t you think?

    1. A contact form Many people these days prefer to contact websites by email rather than over the phone. Instead of just listing your email address, provide them with a more direct avenue. By including a contact form that simply asks users to fill out empty fields without switching pages or pulling up a separate browser window, you’re cutting the effort they need to expend in half. Be clear about the information you need from them, to provide them with the answers they’re looking for. Of course, in addition to your contact form, you will also want to include your direct email address and phone number just in case.

  1. Social media profiles If your typical customer is a Millennial, they will probably want to check you out on social media. You can also boost traffic to your site and generate more leads by growing your social media following. This is a great digital marketing strategy in addition to providing quality customer service. Link to your Facebook page, Twitter account, Instagram, and any other social media platform you use.

These are just three of the many features your contact page and your overall website need in order to build your clientele and support the customers you already have. Can you think of any others? Let us know in the comments section below.
